First Race: 8pm. (Over 18s Only)

£1.00 entry.

The club have booked the whole of the downstairs bar at LIBERTYS Pub, with every Marton FC team invited to come along and support the club.

Every penny raised will go towards the presentation DVDs / trophies for the players and new waterproof jackets for team Managers / Coaches & Secretarys.

Every team should be doing their “bit” to sell as many horses (£3) and entrance tickets (£1) as possible, each race will have three winners with every winner helping themselves to a prize off the “Winners Table”.

Please can every team be represented, with Manager, Coach and Secretary of each team invited to attend.

Dates for Marton FC teams presentation nights, to be held at Marton Cricket Club over 6 days between Sunday 27th May & Friday 1st June 2012, will be given out, along with information for any teams competing in any of this seasons cup finals.

Both race night were a huge success for Marton FC. The club managed to raise a massive £2,322 and would like to thank everybody who contributed.

In an extremeley competetive league against the best teams in the Wearside and Tyneside areas there was some hard fought games especially against a quality Wearside Rds team who finished runners-up. Top performances from all 10 squad members brought praise and rave reviews from opposing teams.Luke Chapman was top scorer with Baker Braithwaite,Dillon Lewis,Alfie Hughes,Sam Lawrence,Harry Donachie,Max McGukkin,Lennox Barry and Morgan Mulgrew all contributing with goals, and Oliver Swann who kept a fantastic 15 clean sheets throughout the season. All the boys would like to thank managers Bob Hughes and Dave Braithwaite for the tremendous work they put in to achieve the hard fought and well deserved success.

1st Race Night A Success

FRIDAY 2ND DECEMBER 2011 – Race Night 2: U8a, U9b, U10a, U11b, U12a, U13b, U14b, U15, U18a & Girls.

Tickets for the Race Night cost £1.00 & is for Over 18s only.

Marton FC will be without one of our top players for the start of the season. Charlie Graham unfortunately broke his leg participating in a pre-season tournament. From the entire club, we hope Charlie makes a speedy recovery and we hope to see him back playing soon.

For the 2010/11 season Marton Football Club are proud to have re-launched the Girls section of the club, with teams in both the U10 and U12 age groups.
